Kalyn Jackson is a senior, who may come off as quiet and standoffish at first, but can warm up to you quickly and make you laugh even faster. Pronouns don’t really matter to her, nor do whatever nickname you may give her, but she’s used to “KJ”. She took a Creative Writing and Production class in sophomore year, and won second place in her grade in a writing competition with a submitted poem she made a year or two prior. At the time of this being published, she’s only been in Journalism for only a month now, and joined because writing is both an interest and hobby for her–she writes poems and novels in her free time, to entertain, inform, and provoke the minds that read them into analyzing and considering the deeper meaning of her works, and how it may relate to them. Creativity is her language–photography is a hobby, writing songs on her piano is a pastime and there are a plethora of other creative projects she’s developed and completed that you could ask about.
