The benefits of staying productive this summer

The+benefits+of+staying+productive+this+summer

As the school year is coming to an end, summer vacation is approaching. Staying occupied is vital as it allows many people, especially students, to remain productive.
It’s an excellent way to avoid boredom and maximize your time. Keeping busy allows many people to discover new skills and develop new interests. It also mentally stimulates your mind, allowing people to maintain a sense of purpose and accomplishment.
A great way to stay productive is by gaining work experience through finding a job or volunteering. Volunteering has many benefits as it allows you to give back to your community by helping others in need.
In the Stockton community, there are many places where students can volunteer. For example, the Delta Humane Society & SPCA of San Joaquin County’s animal shelter allows teens to help care for homeless animals. Students gain a sense of responsibility by directly impacting the lives of animals in need.
Another way to stay productive during summer is by keeping your body active. This is essential as it allows your body to remain in good shape, relieves stress, and improves your overall welfare. Various gyms throughout Stockton have free programs for high school students.
Planet Fitness has a High School Summer Pass, which begins on June 1, 2024, and goes through August 31, 2024, that gives teenagers 4-19 an opportunity to focus on their mental and physical well-being and work out for free.
Furthermore, Delta College offers the College Early Start Program, allowing Franklin High School students to register for any academic course. This will enable students to gain a head-start in earning college credits. Students are able to choose whether to attend the course online or in person.
Enrolling in these courses allows students to discover new passions and focus on career goals. Students can save money or time in the long run by reducing the number of courses needed to take in college.
If you’re interested in staying motivated this summer, consider applying for one of these opportunities available to all FHS students.
