On Saturday, Nov. 18, the Franklin High School Band competed in the Lincoln Review Champions against Chavez High School at Benjamin Holt Academy and Lincoln High School. FHS Drumline won second place, and FHS Band Concert scored 76.4 out of 100. Marching Band scored 80 out of 100, and Drum Major scored 69 out of 100.
FHS was a champion previously at Pitman Preview of Champions, and the Drumline won second place. Also, in the Franklin Invitational Band review, the color guard won third place, Drumline won third place, and the last concert band won second place.
Franklin also won Drumline 2nd place in Santa Cruz band review and Foothill Band Review concert band third place.
The band performed a holiday concert on Dec. 14 at 7:00 pm at the gym/media center. Later in the spring, the band will hold an all-high school concert event on May 17 at FHS. Tickets will be sold at the media/gym front door.
